End of Year Review

Well here we are, the last month of the year, time to round up the year's achievements.

Major, not to be sneezed at achievement, of course, is the completion of novel No. 2. You will see it's entitled 'Framed' in the box to the right. I'm quite pleased with it. My local reader says it is good - reading it twice before I snatched the ms back off him. As I put early versions of the first couple of chapters on YouWriteOn.com his comments appear to be supported. Thanks for the tidy up hints from all those people who took the time to give them.

Minor, not to be sneezed at achievement, I'll have you know, is the final update and new edition of my local history title 'Cast in Stone'. I finally managed to get to the archive to fill in details I knew must have been recorded. I also found a few other things that were relevant. So, this edition is much improved. Pats self on back - well there are no other rewards!

Ongoing, and to be started in the New Year, material for a novel and another history project. So far, the research has been both frustrating and entertaining.
I'm quite excited by the material....

Explosion of online publishing 'outlets'

As I've already published several books and pamphlets via web based POD, I have an eye out for new entrants. The latest I've noted is Yudu.com.
Now that's clever naming! They seem to be a very good place to publish newsletters - and the pro version allows the incorporation of YouTube clips, audio (mp3) and lots of other multi-media stuff.
I was working on something multi-media the other day. Perhaps I'll give them a whirl.

Blogaholism

Ho ho ho, Penny Frost has it nailed in her piece about stopping the creative flow. Seems like there's a lot of it about.

So, what's the progress on B2 then? It's nearly March and very little has happened - other than the author getting mightily bored with sitting at the computer unproductively. Word count 41622. Not much done as you see.
